As a nursing, working mother, I was initially quite impressed with the Lansinoh Breastmilk Storage Bags and preferred it to all others. I went through two- 50-count boxes without incident. Then I made my third purchase of the product and found several bags leaked when I was filling them up with milk. Two leaky bags where not caught in time and I lost 5 ounces of breastmilk as a result. I gave the product one more try after disposing of these defective bags. Again, I was disappointed. I discovered two storage bags with several intentional cuts on the side and red lines at the top of each bag. My guess is that these bags did not pass inspection, yet they were packaged with the rest and sold to a customer. I am so disappointed by this. It frustrates me to know that, due to poor quality control, I must resort to using a different brand simply because it seems I am unable to trust the Lansinoh name. I suggest that the company invest in stricter quality control so that it does not lose more customers.
UPDATE: I contacted Lansinoh about the issue and found them to be very empathetic and responsive. I do love this company, but please beware of leaky bags. If you choose to stick with these, at the very least, consider double bagging when freezing milk.

I’ve noticed in the stores that these storage bags are BPA free but the image on Amazon does not have that written on the box. Has anyone received these from Amazon that are BPA free?
Thanks!

I am torn on this product. I switched to these bags about a month ago b/c I found they seal much better than the Medela ones and it’s nice that they have a larger storage capacity now that my daughter is drinking 5-6 oz. per feeding. That said, I just pumped 5 oz in my office, filled up a bag, sealed it and put it on the counter for a few minutes while finishing something up at the computer, only to look down about 20 minutes later and find a full 2 oz. had leaked out of the 5 oz. bag all over my desk through a series of pinhole sized perforations in the bottom of the bag! Argh! Not only are the edges of my work papers now soaked with breastmilk, I lost 2 very much needed ounces of the so-called “liquid gold”! Anyone who struggles to keep their supply up while pumping at work (or anywhere) knows that losing 2 oz. is not cool. I was so frustrated I had to type this review. Anyhow, I suppose it’s possible this was a fluke and all the other bags are okay. I’m hoping that was the only defective bag in the bunch. This is particulary disheartening b/c I really love the bags otherwise, as they are a better size, have a good seal, have good quality plastic, a good clear place to write the date and other info on., etc.
